PresenterMedia is a vast library of royalty-free images, gifs, PowerPoint templates and video backgrounds that are licensed for non-commercial use. Yellowdig is a student engagement tool that operates with the look and functionality of social media, but without the data-mining-for-sale to third parties that generally finances ‘free’ social media sites. Yellowdig can operate as an external link, but the business platform is to charge universities so that the tool can be an add-on to the Learning Management System (here at UM we use the Blackboard LMS). I stumbled across EasyGenerator last August when I was doing research on adaptive learning software. It is an authoring tool that can be used to create an entire course or just one learning module within a course. As its name implies, EasyGenerator is easy to use, requiring very little training to get started and to create a professional-looking product. (more…)
