PresenterMedia is a vast library of royalty-free images, gifs, PowerPoint templates and video backgrounds that are licensed for non-commercial use. They can be used for corporate, medical, educational and even general presentations. I use this tool almost every day because it is so versatile and user-friendly. (more…)

Yellowdig is a student engagement tool that operates with the look and functionality of social media, but without the data-mining-for-sale to third parties that generally finances¬†‘free’ social media sites. Yellowdig can operate as an external link, but the business platform is to charge universities so that the tool can be an add-on to the Learning Management System (here at UM we use the Blackboard LMS). eLearning Tool Review: EasyGenerator

I stumbled across EasyGenerator last August when I was doing research on adaptive learning software. It is an authoring tool that can be used to create an entire course or just one learning module within a course. As its name implies, EasyGenerator is easy to use, requiring very little training to get started and to create a professional-looking product. (more…)
