Dr. Frances Courtney Kneupper is an Associate Professor in the Department of History, with a focus on the Middle Ages. She teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate classes, both online and face-to-face. She is devoted to new approaches to research and teaching. She is always looking for ways to engage students and the public in the study and practice of history. She recently published a piece in the Washington Post on female spiritual authority.
