Dr. Carey Bernini Dowling is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and a licensed clinical psychologist. She teaches a variety of undergraduate courses both online and in face-to-face formats as well as a graduate seminar on college teaching. Dr. Dowling enjoys talking about teaching with colleagues and students as well as engaging in research on teaching and learning in the undergraduate context. She was the recipient of the 2017 College of Liberal Arts Outstanding instructor of the year award, the 2021 Department of Psychology Psi Chi Award for excellence in undergraduate teaching/mentoring/advising award, and the 2021 Division of Outreach Paragon award for excellence in distance teaching.
