Online Instructor Travel Grants are available to full-time online only faculty to support required attendance for departmental training, departmental orientation, etc. on the Oxford campus. The Division will award up to $1,000 for travel expenses for on-campus travel to full-time online only faculty. Academic Departments seeking assistance from Academic Outreach for on-campus travel must complete the On-Campus Travel Request Form for pre-approval for on-campus travel no less than four weeks prior to travel.
Eligibility
Full-time online instructors not residing in Oxford or Lafayette County are eligible for a grant in order to attend a pre-approved required departmental training, departmental orientation, etc. on the Oxford campus.
Pre-Approval Deadline
Academic Departments seeking assistance from Academic Outreach for on-campus travel must complete the On-Campus Travel Request Form for pre-approval for on-campus travel no less than four weeks prior to travel.
Terms of Award
- The award will not exceed $1,000.
- Each grant recipient may receive only one award for one on-campus trip per fiscal year.
- Academic Departments must obtain pre-approval through Academic Outreach for on-campus travel funding.
- Funding is subject to applicable University travel policies.
Travel Reimbursement
- Departments agree to cover travel costs for grant recipients.
- Departments will be reimbursed for travel costs upon completion of travel and reimbursement of expenses (see Policy for Online Instructor Conference Grant Reimbursement).
Declining/Return of an Award
Please inform the Division of Outreach and Continuing Education if you decide to decline or return the award so that other travel awards may be funded.
