Available Grants and Fellowships for Online Instructors
The Office of Academic Outreach expands teaching and learning boundaries by offering a variety of services and resources to support instructors teaching online courses at the University of Mississippi. Our grant and fellowship series are one of the many ways we support our instructors.
Online Instructor Conference Grants
To encourage the exploration of distance, online, blended, or hybrid education and instructional strategies. Multiple grants support UM online instructor travel to and participation in professional conferences, meetings, or workshops. Open year round.
Online Instructor Conference Grant: Conference Travel – available to online instructors to attend in person professional conferences, meetings, or workshops for the exploration of distance, online, blended, or hybrid education and instructional strategies.
Online Instructor Conference Grant: Virtual Conference – available to online instructors to attend virtually professional conference, meetings, or workshops for the exploration of distance, online, blended, or hybrid education and instructional strategies.
Online Instructor On-Campus Travel Grants are also available to full-time online instructors to support required attendance for one departmental training, meeting, orientation, etc. on the Oxford campus. Open year round.
WOW! Faculty Fellow
The WOW! Fellow is designed to highlight the innovative achievements and sound instructional practices of online instructors at the University of Mississippi, and affords the opportunity to learn from peer to peer instruction and conversation. The application window for academic year 2024-25 will open late March 2025. More information can be located on the WOW! Faculty Fellow page.
