Set Extended Time Test for Students with Disabilities

· Jan 15, 2014 ·

This article presents a step-by-step guide to create an online test in Blackboard with extended time. Extended time tests – time and a half of the original allowed time for the test – are one of the most requested accommodations for online students with disabilities. Blackboard allows instructors to easily create exception(s) for each specific student while setting up test availability.

Overview of the Process

    1. Edit the test options.
    2. Set test availability exceptions per student.
    3. Exceptions can be set to allow extra time, make the test available at an earlier or later date, and allow multiple attempts.
